Will Blood

'Sussex has a rich history of Folklore, for me its one of the most interesting defining factors for a place and shapes much of its character.

The Black Hen of Chiddingly was a spirit believed to guard a crock of gold hidden in Chiddingly place. One night a 'yokel' (poor person) attempted to steal the gold and was beaten to death by the crocks protector.

Here we see Lord Jefferay aboard his evil spirit, guarding his manor.
